Our Cu Chi Tunnel Tour begins with your hotel pickup at 8:30 am by our friendly tour guide and driver. You’ll travel approximately 60km from Ho Chi Minh City to Cu Chi, which is a heroic district for its significant role in the anti-American war in Vietnam. As you journey towards Cu Chi, you’ll be mesmerized by the rural rice paddy scenery. The area still contains ducks and water buffalos swimming in the rivers alongside the road, providing visitors with an idyllic view that makes it hard to imagine the destruction, damage, and defoliation caused by bombing and mines. Cu Chi was once considered a “Free Target Zone,” but the remnants of this period provide evidence of the fierce battleground that took place there. When you arrive at Cu Chi, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the legendary tunnels system that spans over 220km. Crawling through the tunnels is a must-do activity (although it’s not suitable for very old or overweight people). It is an unforgettable experience and provides insight into the challenging conditions faced by the soldiers who lived in the tunnels during the Vietnam War. After exploring the tunnels, we’ll take a break for lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Ho Chi Minh City. Depending on traffic, we aim to arrive back at your hotel by 2:00 pm.
