Day by day itinerary

Day 1: Ninh Binh 1 day (Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Hang Mua) (L, D)

Embark on a thrilling adventure to Ninh Binh province with a friendly guide. Venture to Hoa Lư, the ancient capital of Vietnam between 968 and 1010, where you’ll have the chance to learn about Vietnamese history in the feudal system under Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasty. Indulge in a buffet lunch at a local restaurant featuring many delicious dishes such as goat meat, fish, chicken, and fried rice. Vegetarian options are always available as well. Take a 1.5-hour bamboo boat ride to visit Tam Coc, where you will be enchanted by the stunning beauty of paddy fields, rivers, clouds, and sky, along with a breathtaking cave system. This location is often referred to as “Ha Long Bay on land” due to its resemblance to the world-famous site. Experience the authentic culture of Vietnam with a 45-minute cycling excursion around the village, immersing yourself in the daily lives of the local people. Visit Mua Cave (Dancing Cave), where you will walk approximately 500 steps to reach the top of Lying Dragon Mountain and enjoy an awe-inspiring panoramic view of Tam Coc. Day 2: Halong 1 day – Sapa (B, L, D)

The day starts with having breakfast at the hotel and checking out. The guests are picked up from the hotel to head towards Halong Bay. After a 4-hour journey, they arrive at Halong Bay. Once there, they receive a safety briefing and are welcomed aboard a boat for a 5-hour cruise. During the journey, they pass through uninhabited islets and outcrops which have been given imaginative names by the locals. They also enjoy a mouth-watering Vietnamese lunch on the boat. They then arrive at Bo Hon archipelago where they visit Surprising Cave and see many stalagmites and stalactites. Afterward, they go kayaking or bamboo boating in Luon Cave to discover the beautiful lagoon and visit Titop Island, which has a sandy beach adjacent to the towering limestone mountain, providing an excellent backdrop of the bay. Here they can climb up Titov Peak for a panoramic view of the bay. After enjoying the natural beauty and scenery, they return to the Cruise towards the Harbor, where they can sunbathe on the upper deck with music and enjoy great fun with their touring fellows. They then disembark for a bus ride back to Hanoi with a short break on the way. They reach Hanoi and have dinner. Finally, they board the bus to travel to Sapa. Day 3: Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B, L, D)

Upon your arrival at Sapa Town, the vibrant traditional costumes of the H’mong, Dzao, and Tay ethnic people warmly welcome you. As you wait at the bus station for the tour guide and driver to pick you up, you can already sense the magic of this picturesque town. At 8:30 am, the hiking adventure begins with a trek through Y Linh Ho and the rice terraces along Muong Hoa Stream, where the scenic view is breathtaking. You will witness the stunning landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain and arrive at the Black Hmong village of Lao Chai. The beauty of this place will leave you in awe. Later in the afternoon, you will approach Ta Van village, inhabited by the Giay Ethnic People, after covering a distance of 9-12km for about 3.5 hours. You will check into your homestay around 12:30 – 1:00 pm and have lunch while getting to know the family of Dzay People, who are friendly and hospitable hosts. Afterward, you can immerse yourself in mountain life and explore the village on your own in the afternoon. You may also attend a cooking session of local dishes with the family and enjoy dinner in peace. In the evening, you can unwind at the local bar nearby with music and socialize with other tourists and locals. Finally, retire for the night in the comfortable Bungalow, feeling refreshed and energized from the day’s activities.

Day 4: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai (B, L)

Today, you will begin with a delicious breakfast prepared by the welcoming family. Energized and ready for a new day of exploration, you will embark on an exciting trek that takes you through rice paddies and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. This trek covers a distance of approximately 4kms and lasts for about 2 hours. You will also get to walk through a beautiful bamboo forest and stop to take in the panoramic view of Giang Ta Chai village – home of the red Dzao People. After the trek, you can return to the bungalow to freshen up and prepare for lunch. Once lunch is served between 12:30 – 1:30 pm, you can take some time to relax before the bus picks you up at 1:30 pm to return to Sapa Town. Later, you will board the bus to head back to Hanoi around 3:00-3:30 pm with two rest stops along the way. Finally, you will arrive in Hanoi around 9:30-10:00 pm, where the bus drops off all guests at 166 Tran Quang Khai. Although your trip has come to an end, the memories of your adventures in Sapa will stay with you for a lifetime.
